MODELING ENVIRONMENT

  • Import a map of the assessment target site in various graphic formats.
  • Select rural or urban receptor environment for automatic parametrization of the various atmospheric dispersion models.

METEOROLOGICAL DATA

  • Import meteorological data text files comprising (for each datum): date, time, wind speed, wind direction, temperature, atmospheric stability class, urban mix height and rural mix height.
  • Wind speed profile correction for each recipient environment and for each atmospheric stability class.
  • Display meteorological data as wind rose and stability rose for the various daily periods (day, evening, night).

ODOR AND CHEMICAL COMPOUND ASSESSED

  • Odor and chemical compound modeling.
  • Choice of chemical compound to be assessed from a large and evolutive data base comprising over 400 chemical compounds and including information on terminal velocity, toxicity thresholds, lower limits of explosivity and flammability, and the exposure thresholds of various standards.

SOURCES

  • Choice of sources: emission point or stack, emitting surface, instantaneous source.
  • Source characterization: height, diameter, length, width, mass or surface flow rate, gas ejection velocity, gas temperature, time variability of flow.

RECEPTORS

  • Choice of receptors: point, line, surface.
  • Receptor characterization: dimensions, measurement height.

MODELING

  • Choice of atmospheric dispersion models:
    • Gaussian
    • Gifford-Gaussian, parametered and optimized for odors
    • CUM (Montreal) model under By-Law 90
    • Turner
    • Puff
  • Choice of plume rise models:
    • EPA
    • CUM
    • Holland

COMPUTATION

  • Choice of simulation type:
    • Average concentration.
    • Instantaneous concentration.
    • First and second hourly maxima
    • Maxima over 2, 4, 8 and 24 hours.
    • Percentiles from 90.00 to 99.99.
    • Threshold overshoots.

DISPLAY

  • Display of plume superimposed on map of site, of sources and receptors.
  • Choice of interpolation type: linear or logarithmic.
  • Choice of concentration display scale.
  • Choice of concentration scale display mode: continuous or discrete color spectrum.
  • Display of wind rose and stability rose superimposed on plume.
  • Display of wind rose and stability rose at each recipient point for percentiles.
  • Display of the concentration profile at each recipient point for percentiles.
  • Export graphic files of results ready for insertion into a report.
  • Automatic generation of text report comprising the numerical results of the simulations.
