Odor Observer Committee/
Assistance

The Odor Observer Committee depends heavily upon observations provided by neighbors to the Odotech Consulting and Expertise Division. This transfer of information may occur by various means, but experience makes it clear that a mail-out survey of answer-cards offers the highest performance solution for a relatively modest cost.

Neighbors are invited to complete their form daily, noting their presence and odor episodes, when applicable, and also indicating the nature and intensity of said episodes. The pre-stamped cards are then delivered by post to Odotech offices.

In this way, Odotech can independently develop a database which will be used to assess the impact of operations in that neighborhood.

The data are processed and analyzed, and finally presented to the neighborhood and to other stakeholders, and, if applicable, to local authorities.

At the end of the data collection period, the forms are returned to the operator in order to allow him to retain evidence of his efforts to improve neighborhood relations.
